In 1996 Scannerhouse entered a new phase in its business model…document management. Using the expertise gained from years of scanning photos and art (hence the name Scannerhouse) we began to scan file cabinets and boxes full of documents for clients ranging from law firms, government agencies, financial institutions, religious organizations and every type of business imaginable. These were then placed on discs or for web-based document retrieval. We also responded to the request from many of our clients to convert microfilm and microfiche. |
The quest for solutions to the problem facing most businesses today began in 1975 with a far different mission in mind. 1975 was the year that Scannerhouse was originally founded, and its business had nothing to do with elimination of paper in the workplace! In those days Scannerhouse had dozens of clients of national magazines, advertising agencies, artists and all types of companies that used color images in their printed material. Scannerhouse processed the photos or art, laid out the pages and provided the client with the film to be used by the printer. The work was very exacting, and Scannerhouse was and is now noted by its clients for outstanding quality control.
